About

Vensin Gray was born in January 1987 to two teenage parents in East Cleveland, Ohio. He found his niche for writing at the age of 5 where he wrote, illustrated, stapled and put together his first  book “A boy and his dog” at his Uncle’s apartment in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He attended all East Cleveland schools graduating from Shaw High School in 2005. He attended Northwood University in Midland, Michigan from 2005-2007 and Cleveland State University from 2008-2010.

He wrote The ProChrist at the age of 18 and finally was able to self-publish through OutSkirtsPress Inc. in 2009. His book was officially published June 2009. In 2012 he had The ProChrist re-edited and the cover redesigned to its current image.

He finished writing Son of Sin the spring of 2012. After it was edited and the right cover was selected, he released the highly coveted second book of The ProChrist series Son of Sin to the world in November 2013.

He has finished writing The Angel King and it is now in editing and he’s seeking to have it released near his birthday in January 2015 and is looking to have this be his first book that is released with eBook, softback and hardback covers.

His original plans were to venture off from The ProChrist Series after Angel King and write different novels. But an exclusive reader of The Angel King made him aware that he may have to continue writing this series. Be on the look out!

During his spare time, he volunteer coaches an elementary school’s girls basketball team. He writes poetry and is trying to learn how to speak fluent French. He’s a fan of his hometown sports teams the Browns, Cavaliers and Indians.

In his interview with TheBlackManCan he had this to say to future writers… “Practice good writing habits…Write Correctly, speak correctly and do not be afraid to be smart. Let your imagination run wild. Read, read, read and read some more…And beyond anything, just believe in yourself, believe in your talents, and believe in your words and you’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish.”
